Description
Gypsy Queen Victorian Chest of Drawers.
This beautiful 2 over 3 Victorian chest of drawers has been painted in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in a custom mix of Eulalie’s Sky and Linen. A Gypsy Queen I.O.D decor transfer has been applied to the front, which makes this piece real boho chic.
IOD’s Vintage Decor Transfers are intricately designed with a protective backing, once peeled the designs simply rubs on with the included transfer stick. Several designs were released in the Winter 2016 catalog and several more will be released in Winter of 2017
The decor transfer comes in a box with a wooden stick to rub the transfer onto the desired area. You carefully peel the design on its transparent sheet away from the protective wax paper and secure it into place. Take the wooden stick and burnish by rubbing over the design, it becomes apparent as the design leaves the sheet and adheres to chosen surface.
The decor transfers adhere well to matte or chalky type paints, just make sure the area is clean and free of grease and dirt before starting and if the area is to get traffic then a clear top coat is recommended this could include wax varnish or poly. They can be distressed and the designs can be cut into sections before use if needed.
These decor transfers could be used on walls as art, furniture as a wow factor or anywhere to liven up your home decor, there is many in the range to choose from so make sure you check them out.
Milk Paint is an ancient all-natural paint containing five all-natural ingredients – milk protein (casein), limestone, clay, chalk and natural pigments. When absorbed into the surface, Milk Paint will never chip or peel when applied to a raw wood surface. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications and is naturally mold resistant. Milk paint provides a completely breathable coating and is ideal for painting wood, plaster, drywall and a variety of other surfaces. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and contains no VOCs.
With the Milk Paint Bonding Agent you can use Milk Paint on even more surfaces such as previously painted walls, varnished surfaces, ceramic tiles, metal, glass etc. Without the bonding agent, Milk Paint will resist some prefinished or prepainted surfaces to achieve an authentic “chippy” look.
